Description

Asteroid 1 Ceres passes galaxy M100. 
22:12 - 04:02 GMT over the night of the 26th - 27th March 2023

As my main DSO camera was out of action this was taken with my ASI174MM planetary camera running in long exposure mode. The frames are noisy and uncalibrated but still shows the event well. The animation consists of 56 frames, each of 60s exposure with a 300s gap between each one. It's fun to see the solar system in action 
Anything else you see moving in the frames are hot pixels.
